Capt. Don Starner was found guilty of felony theft of trade secrets after copying LORAN readings of Capt. Jimmy Robertson’s fishing locations.
FORTY YEARS AGO
A fleet of 50 or so wind-powered yachts set sail from Tampa Bay for Charlotte Harbor to race back again in the Southern Ocean Racing Conference.
FORTY-FIVE YEARS AGO
Twelve vessels docked at Port Boca Grande and discharged their cargoes at the Belcher Oil Terminal amounting to 500,000 barrels of fuel oil for the Ft. Myers power plant.
