Letters: Boca Grande Historical Society announces Footprints exhibit

To the Editor and the community:
On behalf of the Boca Grande Historical Society, we thank you for your support. We understand the impact the two recent hurricanes have had on our community and the challenges it poses for so many. Through these unprecedented times, our number one priority remains serving our community and our visitors while staying true to our mission.
Our 30th year will begin with transformative changes, including the new Footprints from the Past exhibit. We will be moving into the historic Crowninshield Community House, 240 Banyan Street, where the new exhibit using the latest innovative technology will be available for viewing. Opening in November 2025, the exhibit promises to be an exciting and modern presentation of Gasparilla Island’s rich history. The new History Center will bring Boca Grande’s rich and multi-faceted story to life.
To ensure its long-term success, the Boca Grande Historical Society has created a Legacy Fund, established to support the Center’s ongoing operations and financial stability well into the future.
By contributing to the Boca Grande Historical Society’s Legacy Fund, you are helping to secure the future of the History Center, its programs, exhibits and daily operations. Your tax-deductible gift will make a lasting impact. Our organization is strong because of you, and together we will continue to thrive.
You can complete and return the Legacy Fund announcement that was mailed to you, or go online at bocagrandehistoricalsociety.com to donate.
We look forward to welcoming you back in November.
Johns Knight Jr., President
