2024 Island fishing tourney for youth

Results from Saturday

There were 17 participants in the May 18, 2024 youth tournament, held at the Boca Grande Fishing Pier, and sponsored by Lee County Parks & Recreation. Every child who entered caught at least one fish and they each also each received a raffle prize. Raffle prizes included bait buckets with key chains, tackle boxes, fishing lure sets and five new fishing poles. Each of the winners (below) took home a trophy.

Fisher Boy & Girl (most fish)

Georgia Pope – Tied with 8 fish, but had the biggest; Hunter Pope – 8 fish

Age 5 & Under

1st place girl – Isabelle Freeman, 1 fish; 1st place boy – Levi Cummings 5

Age 6-9

1st place girl – Skylar Michaud, 8 fish; 1st place boy – Marcos Carvalho, 3

Age 10-13

1st place girl – Lilly Vacopoulos, 6 fish; 1st place boy – Lukas Vacopoulos, 3
