To the Editor:
Hello to you. My husband, Mick and I have been coming to the Island for over the past seven years, We live in the UK and regularly visit Boca Grande, This year on Father’s Day we decided to spend the day at the beach and we headed for 13th Street. We arrived around 1 p.m., and upon arrival we were faced with all the parking area having been taken over by the residents’ blocking the public parking areas with children’s push chairs, mops, brushes, trash cans and a very offensive wooden sign. Although the majority of my Facebook friends are from the UK and could not relate to it, I’ve decided I’d like to share the experience we encountered.
I’m interested to know if you are aware of this happening and would like to hear your thoughts.
