To the Editor:
I write in support of Dr. Lewis Hamilton’s letter of April 12th re the programs at the Clinic annex. So many of us long-time residents of Boca Grande are in our seventies, eighties and nineties, a population generally coming apart at the seams and/or at the joints. Many of us have reached out to the very effective physical therapy program at the Clinic annex to help us recover from illnesses, falls, surgeries, etc. Our failing mobility and energies make close proximity of these services welcome and essential.
One must wonder why the Clinic considers replacing physical therapy and other resources at the annex with programs of dubious value and/or appropriateness to our relatively small community.
To me, for many years a supporter of our fabulous, wonderful Clinic, these proposed changes seem, if not ill advised, at least quite perplexing.
