Letter to the Editor: Last call to get early ballots dropped off in Lee County

The deadline to request to vote by mail has now expired. You can still drop your ballot off in person, however.

Voted ballots must be physically returned (not just postmarked) to the Supervisor of Elections Office by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016. Any vote-by-mail ballot delivered to the Main Office after 7 p.m. on Election Day will be accepted but can not be tabulated.

For any voter who wants to hand-deliver his or her vote-by-mail ballot, the following is available:

  • Bonita Springs Branch Office, Bonita Commons, 25987 S. Tamiami Trail #105 will accept vote-by-mail ballots until 3 p.m. on Election Day.
  • Cape Coral Branch Office at Lee County Government Center 1039 SE 9th Ave. will accept vote-by-mail ballots until 3 p.m. on Election Day.
  • Election Center across the street from Bell Tower Shops and behind Robb & Stucky, 13180 S. Cleveland Ave. will accept vote-by-mail ballots until 5 p.m. on Election Day.
  • Main Office, Constitutional Complex, 2480 Thompson St., 3rd Floor. Vote-by-mail ballots must be delivered prior to 7 p.m. on Election Day, no exceptions.
