SUBMITTED BY SUNCOAST HUMANE SOCIETY – Suncoast Humane Society (SHS) is charged up to complete their Capital Campaign to build a new Animal Care Center, and they need you today. To gain even more momentum, an anonymous donor and animal lover is offering a $1 million incentive gift once SHS attains a $1 million match by Memorial Day, May 25, 2020.
SHS took over occupancy of its current facility in 1971. The average lifespan of an animal shelter, even built to standards, can be less than 20 years. The shelter has far outlived an acceptable safety and comfort level for animals. To date, SHS has raised $5.1 million and is within striking distance of the $8 million needed to break ground on the already purchased 11.5 acres of land in Englewood.
The new facility for SHS will be so much more than just an animal shelter. Imagine a state-of-the-art Humane Society created with modern, safe and comfortable housing for adoptable animals, an innovative public Preventive Health Care Clinic, a community center for all to learn and grow – including donors, visitors, staff and volunteers. By helping them attain the $1 million incentive gift, you will be a part of building a better future for the animals and people who love them.
SHS’s directors and Board of Trustees ask you today to help raise the roof: “Please help the animals today. We know that with your help we will announce this summer that we are breaking ground. This is an amazing community who will do whatever it takes to care for the animals.”
Make your gift today online at humane.org or visit SHS Animal Care Center located at 6781 San Casa Drive, Englewood, FL.
Naming opportunities are available, ranging from $5K benches and $10K pathways, to $100K education center, $250K surgery suite, $500K adoption gallery, and $1 million to name the Animal Care Center, among a few others.
