STAFF REPORT- This Wednesday, June 3 at approximately 10:30 a.m. you will get a chance to let our Island School fifth grade graduates how proud of them you are, as a community. Because the traditional graduation ceremony cannot be held, a graduation parade will be held all around town.
After a brief presentation on the croquet lawn at The Gasparilla Inn & Club the parade will begin on 7th Street, then turn left onto E. Railroad Avenue. They will then turn right onto 5th Street, then turn left onto Park Avenue.
From Park Avenue they turn left onto 1st Street and will follow it around the bend at Whiddens, down Harbor Drive and then Bayou Drive. They will turn left onto 5th Street, then turn right back onto Palm Avenue, then 7th Street.
Everyone who will be coming out for the graduation parade is asked to follow social distancing etiquette.
Fifth grade graduates this year include Ava Foos, Makaila Lindsey, Savannah Pope, Devin Castillo, Jayden Hammond, Will Duke, Payton Martin, Lucas Coleman, Jacob Coleman, Ella Grinstead and Xyonn Daniels.
