An informational meeting regarding the potential purchase of 10 vacant acres of land next to the Port Boca Grande Lighthouse at the southern tip of the island, currently owned by FPL, has been confirmed. It will take place on Monday, Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. in the Boca Grande Community Center Auditorium.
The land is under contract at this time, and the potential buyer (whose identity has not been divulged) is researching the land during the due diligence period. The possibility of approximately 20 housing units being built on the land is within the realm of possibility.
The broker, Heath Seckel of Gulf Coast International Properties, said the buyer plans to inform the public about the proposal for the land prior to the November 16 meeting. Keep reading the Boca Beacon for updates.
