been very ill and is incurring large medical bills.
Registration and the captain’s party will be held on June 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Sand Bar, located at the north end of the island. After fishing on Saturday there will be community fish fry, corn hole and music at 4 p.m.
The entry fee for the tournament is $200 or just $25 if fishing off of the Boca Grande Fishing Pier.
Anglers competing in the “trash can slam” will be looking for stingrays, catfish and sheepshead for first and second place. First and second place prizes will be awarded for redfish and trout. There will also be a live and silent auction.
