If you wandered down to the Wheeler Road ballfield last Friday and noticed the Boca Grande Farmers Market wasn’t there, don’t worry. It wasn’t shut down by any hand other than Mother Nature’s.
You see, the field was flooded, and the county told Shauna Lee Lange, our market founder and director, that it wasn’t safe to hold the Farmers Market that day. The road and the field was closed.
They will be back today, and every Friday after, good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise.
