Mangrove Chapter to discuss that old favorite, goldenrod

Please join the Mangrove Chapter of FNPS for a presentation on “Various Species of Goldenrod.” Guest speakers will be Al Squires and Denny Girard. Known locally as “The Denny and Al Show,” they lead many educational and entertaining natively field trips all year long.

During this presentation you will learn about the species Goldenrod that occur in Florida, their growth characteristics and how you can grow some of them in your own garden. This under-appreciated native plant, which has been wrongly accused of causing hay fever, is a valuable polinator plant that attracts bees and butterflies, including monarchs.
