The Island School held its annual Mother’s Day Tea on Friday, May 10 and all the kids showed much love to their moms.

Capt. Chris Frohlich's team got the first qualified release in the 2013 Ladies Day Tarpon Tournament at 5:40 p.m. on Saturday. Anglers included Alysha Aratari, Olivia Britto, Joellen Morris and Mia Benton.

The Boca Grande Area Chamber of Commerce Ladies Day Tarpon Tournament is upon us once again.

The Gasparilla Island Bridge Authority has announced that the swing bridge will be closed for emergency repairs in the early morning hours of Monday, May 20 and Tuesday, May 21.

On both days, the bridge will be closed to boat traffic from midnight to 6 a.m. and to vehicular traffic from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m.
