Those are on the table, but John said the real fun stuff is economics and business. He serves on several local boards and committees in those areas.

It’s that time of year again. Your local American Cancer Society Relay for Life is coming up soon. Saturday, April 27 your local businesses will set up at the Ball Park at the end of Wheeler Street and walk through the night to fight cancer. There will be food and activities through the night. It’s a carnival-like atmosphere for most of the day and evening except just after sunset during the luminaria walk.


FWC meeting news: Tarpon on their way to catch-and-release status

 

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), at its April 17 meeting near Tallahassee, moved forward unanimously with a proposal to make tarpon and bonefish catch-and-release-only fisheries.
