Everyone is invited to attend to enjoy good company, good friends and good music, as well as good food.

Obituary: Sallie VanItallie

 

Read more...Sallie Newton Calhoun VanItallie, wife of Ted VanItallie, and, for many years a resident of Boca Grande, died peacefully at her home in Old Lyme, Conn., on Dec. 29.  

She was born in New York City on March 25, 1929. In 1930, her father, Carl Elbridge Newton, joined the international law firm of White & Case and was assigned to the firm’s Paris office in the Place Vendome, where he remained for four years.

Obituary: Betty Sherwin

 

Betty Barr Sherwin, a popular Winter resident of Boca Grande, died on December 12, 2012 in Port Charlotte.

She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Perkins Sherwin. She is survived by sons Sydney Thayer IV and Meade Barr Thayer; daughter, Casey Sherwin Hamblett; and her 5 grandchildren, Sam and Brooke Thayer and Rob, Blake and Mac Hamblett, all who adored her.

Obituary: Joanne Davis

Joanne Viall Davis of Essex, Conn. died on December 5, 2012. She was the wife of the late John T. Monzani and the late F. Kelso Davis, and the sister of Marjorie Djerf of Concord, Mass. and Gertrude Kloppenburg of Mequon, Wis.


She was predeceased by her daughters, Ann B. Monzani and Louise M. Clough.
