Joseph “Buzz” Haraden, 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Cleverdale, on his beloved Lake George, Friday, July 12, 2013.
Buzz was the devoted husband of Elizabeth B. Haraden for the past 19 years. He was predeceased by Barbara Yanney Haraden, with whom he shared 40 years of marriage. He was the son of Joseph and Kathryn Haraden.
He graduated from Albany Academy in 1949 and then attended Colgate University.
Buzz was a Navy corpsman during the Korean War until 1954. He joined the family car business, Mohawk Chevrolet, and attended the General Motors Institute. During his life, Buzz was an avid golfer and belonged to the Mohawk Golf Club, Glens Falls Country Club, Lemon Bay Golf Club, Lake George Club & Boca Grande Club.
Buzz spent his summers in Lake George and his winters in Boca Grande. He had a love for his Hackercraft, red sauce, the New York Yankees and the Giants. But most of all, he loved his family.
