The United Methodist Women of the United Methodist Church want to express our appreciation to everyone in the community for their efforts in their contributions, volunteering and support of the Strawberry Festival held Saturday, March 7.

It takes the effort of many to make the festival a success and to support our mission of helping women and children on and off island and internationally.

We want to acknowledge the following supporters: Boca Beacon, Grande Aire, Habitat, Heidemarie Burke – Photographic Images, Hudson’s Grocery, McHugh-Porter Builders, Native Garden, P.J.’s Seagrille, StoreSmart Self-Storage, U-Store of Rotonda Storage.

We give thanks to our United Methodist Church, Joe Wier and the Lee County Parks & Recreation, Boca Grande Community Center, Crowninshield Community House and so many members of the church and community for their wonderful donations.

We are grateful to the following artists who contributed: Del-Bourree Bach, Jane Carlson, Marlene Cox, Carolyn Humke, Linda Long, Alfrieda Siegel, Anita Shoemaker, Wini Smart and Gwenneth Barth White.

Also, we want to thank Ron Thompson for his wonderful support in being the auctioneer. We want to thank all of the volunteers from the United Methodist Church and the community who make the Strawberry Festival possible and such a success.

Thanks to all of you who were a part of the United Methodist Women’s mission to serve women and children in need in communities near and far.

Written on behalf of every committee member of the Strawberry Festival
