Island School still popping tops, and a lot more

The Island School has gotten a great response to our “pop top” campaign that helps to raise donations for the Ronald McDonald Houses across the country. We have had coffee cans and bags full of soda pop tops brought in recently, and we hope we continue to see them until the end of the school year.

This is a worthwhile cause that not only helps the kids and their families who stay at Ronald McDonald Houses, but it also helps our children here, on the island, to understand the importance of giving and fundraising.

We are still collecting box tops as well. To find more information on what products have the little pink “Box Tops for Education” logo, go to boxtops4education.com.

Finally, we still have calendars for 2013 featuring Island School artists. They have been discounted to $10.

Finally, our Tarpon Ball is coming up on February 23. We are selling raffle tickets prior to and during the event, and two winners will receive $1,000 gift certificates from Hudson’s Grocery. These were anonymously donated to the school, and we thank those donors very much. Tickets are $20 each, or three tickets for $50. The winner does not need to be present at the Tarpon Ball to win.

If you have any questions about any of our programs, please call the school at 964-8016.

We appreciate all this community does for us!

Sincerely,
The Island School PTO
