Letter to the Editor: Camera Club season winds down, support greatly appreciated

To the Editor:

The Boca Grande Camera Club had a very successful season this year. We built to 66 members, had a full complement of speakers, demonstrations, guest lecturers, field trips and training sessions. And, our third annual photo exhibition showed the work of 22 photographers offering more than 100 photos to the acclaim of the expansive attendees.

We would like to thank the people on Boca Grande for embracing the talent of the artists in the club. And, also, to the staff of the Friends of Boca Grande Community Center and to the Lee County staff, especially Bob Greene, Joe Weir and David for their attention to detail and hard work in offering the services of the Community Center.

The club has contributed the funds to add draperies to the Women’s Club Room to darken the area for projection.

 We look forward to an even more active and successful season in the coming year.
