When Dennis Oller walked in to the Englewood Community Care Clinic with wounds on his leg, he had exhausted all of his other options for care in the Englewood area.
It was a beautiful fall day for a fishing tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 22 as nine boats dipped lines in the water in search of redfish, for the 18th annual Gasparilla Island Fishing Tournament.
By the time this paper is out in stands, three games will have been played. This year’s Thanksgiving feast and football, hopefully turned out to be some good ones with the teams that played: Packers (10-0) at Lions (7-3), Cowboys and Dolphins both riding a three-win streak, and the night game had for the first time the Harbaugh brothers (Jim with the 49ers at 9-1 vs John with the Ravens at 7-3) fighting it out on the field.
Hope you had a scrumptious meal for Thanksgiving and are enjoying your holiday weekend! There’s so much going on: shop downtown, visit with Santa, enjoy some live music this weekend.
