It has been cussed out, poisoned, cursed and cut away. It affects almost everyone in the world, through firsthand experience or from knowing someone who has died in its deadly throes. It is cancer.
While there may be no cure for cancer yet, there are millions of people worldwide working tirelessly to make it so. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life in Boca Grande will be held this weekend, April 27 and 28, and everyone is invited to help in the cause.
The theme for this year’s event is “Relay – Where Dreams Really Do Come True,” which should prove to bring out some pretty incredible and zany costumes.
