So far, everyone injured in the boating accident in Bull Bay that occurred on April 12 are doing well. Andrew Haines of Pheonix, Ariz., who was airlifted from a local marina after being involved in the accident, has been discharged from Lee Memorial Hospital. Haines was on the boat captained by Capt. Steve Ahlers when they were involved in a collision with a boat operated by Jesse Smith of Port Charlotte.
Everyone else was either transported by ambulance and have been discharged, or were not injured.
And, by the way, the Jesse Smith involved in the accident is not local fishing guide Capt. Jesse Smith, who charters the Dylan Marie.
Complete different Jesse Smith.
