The Boca Grande Woman’s Club is bringing quite a collection of critters to the Community Center during the last week of March, and everyone is invited to come out to see the shows.
First, on Monday, March 25 at 1 p.m., John Storms presents the World of Reptiles. How do snakes survive without legs, ears and eyelids? How can you tell if a snake is venomous or non-venomous? Are you prepared to treat a snake’s bite?
Find out all of the answers and see reptiles from around the world and close to home at this fascinating presentation, sure to feature at least one surprised tortoise!
Then, on Wednesday, March 27 at 1 p.m., Doris Nager will be at the Community Center with her Birds of Prey program. For many years, Doris has been rescuing and caring for injured birds. There will be an educational lecture, followed by an island favorite: picture time with the birds.
Both programs are free and open to the public. If you have any questions, call 964-2564.
