
The Barrier Island Parks Society will be presenting several segments in their “Little Lights Toddler Time” program in March and April.
On Saturday, March 2 at 10 a.m. Carol Mahler will hold a presentation called “Adventures in the Charlotte Harbor Watershed.”
On Saturday, March 9 at 10 a.m. Lillian Bay Beatty, a toddler who already has had two books written about her, will help to present “Miracles Happen.”
On Saturday, March 23 at 10 a.m. Elise Elliott will present her book, “The ABC Book of Funny Animal Limericks.”
On Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. Jan Hasselbring will present “What do you see, Mrs. Night Heron?”
On Saturday, April 6 at 10 a.m. Gary Walter will host “Portal to Florida’s Past,” and on Saturday, April 13 at 10 a.m. Lee County librarian Toni Vanover will present “The Cat in the Hat.”
Also, on Wednesday, March 6 join BIPS and the Englewood Shell Club at 11 a.m. as they present “Shells by the Seashore,” concerning our spectacular local shells.
All programs will be held at the Port Boca Grande Lighthouse at the south end of the island, 880 Belcher Road. Call 964-0060 to RSVP and for more information.
The cost is free, with a $3 parking fee to enter the park. The talk is for anyone ages 14 and above.
