BY MARCY SHORTUSE - The weekend starts with five women and a lot of art at the Boca Grande Art Alliance facility on Banyan Street. The “Five Women” show runs through Sunday. It will be open on Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The exhibitors will be Dianna Shandorf, Esther Jensen, Dianna Runyon, Cecilia Johnsson-Bisset and Susan Shaffer.

 On Friday, Feb. 22 head down to Woof Gang Bakery between 3 and 6 p.m. There will be pet emergency and survival bags, in-store specials, free treats and refreshments for you and your pet.
