BY MARCY SHORTUSE - The annual event that epicurean islanders have been waiting for is upon us. The Taste of Boca Grande will be held on Monday, Feb. 4 at the Boca Bay Pass Club. It will be another visceral experience, with a wonderous menu from some of the very best restaurants to be had in Southwest Florida.

The “Taste,” as it is called, benefits the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida. The Chapin Band will play again, and this year 17 restaurants will be supplying the delicious fare. Here is the first part of our two-part menu breakdown that has become a “Taste” tradition.
