STAFF REPORT - You’ve seen this little square on a lot of products in your shopping cart but do you know what it is good for? Since 1996, Box Tops for Education has been giving a lot of money to schools. For each of these little squares a participating school submits to the program, the school earns 10 cents.
Box Tops for Education has found a way to help our local Island School while you shop for Christmas presents online. Before you start shopping online go to btfe.com. From that website, locate the links to your favorite stores and proceed to go shopping.
For every dollar that you spend at participating stores in the Box Tops Marketplace, your school of choosing (hoping its the Island School ... hint ... hint) will earn free money.
There are more than two hundred “Shop and Earn” stores, such as Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Nook, Apple Store, Gap, Expedia, Best Buy, Walmart, Chico’s, Cabella’s, Bloomingdales, Target and Land’s End that will give your school of choice points on their Box Top earnings.
On the web site, boxtops4education, there are also other deals, such as earning points by shopping at Toys R Us, Lowe’s, Dollar General and Macy’s for toys.
So far this year The Island School has earned $78 in Box Tops points. The money raised goes to The Island School PTO and is used for school activities.
You know you are going to buy presents for Christmas, why not help support our local Island School students as much as you can!
