Approaching the 100-year mark: The Gasparilla Inn & Club's 2012 Open House

STAFF REPORT - As the sun sets on October 9, employees of the Gasparilla Inn & Club will be making their final preparations to welcome guests for the opening of the historic hotel’s 99th season, and their annual open house.

On Wednesday, Oct. 10 all are welcome to take a step back in time and tour the facilities at the Inn. Tour hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m.

“From the first day we open, continuing all the way through early summer, The Inn always has something special to offer guests,” said Jack Damioli, president and general manager of The Gasparilla Inn & Club. “Our genteel hospitality remains unchanged as well as the numerous opportunities for relaxation and recreation.”

Showcasing some exciting renovations, island residents, members, and the surrounding communities are all welcome to come and enjoy The Inn’s hospitality and to explore the newest restorations to the legendary property.

After being greeted on the restored front porch of The Gasparilla Inn, explore the newly refurbished and redecorated arrival area and living room, as well as the Presidential Suite. Stop by The Inn’s newest shopping venue, the Inn Boutique, featuring designer resort wear and jewelry.
