BY MARCY SHORTUSE - When Lew Hastings gets behind a microphone nowadays, he is interviewing local businesses on Englewood’s radio station, WENG. He is currently looking for a few good people who would like to talk about their businesses on-air.

Hastings, the executive director of the Boca Grande Area Chamber of Commerce, said the new radio show showcases successful owners and managers of businesses operating on the Gulf Coast of Southwest Florida. The show began on August 3 .

“This is a live one hour conversational show where the featured business will either be in studio or on the phone for their 20-minute segment,” Hastings said. “We want the person to tell us a little bit about themselves, their current projects and goals, what challenges they have encountered doing business in this area, and how they got started.”

The show airs on WENG 1530 AM/107.5 FM every Friday afternoon from 4 to 5 p.m.

If you have a business to showcase on the show, contact Hastings at 964-0568.
