“Warn when passing” signs will soon be prominently stenciled on the path at crucial intervals, approximately every 200 yards.

The project is being implemented through the work of Liam Hugger of Boca Grande, who is the grandson of Rick and Karen Hugger. He will be assisted by volunteers from Boy Scout Troop 198 of Rotonda.

The project will be completed on two Saturdays this month, on Sept. 22 and 29.

“This project is one that the GICIA bike path committee was planning as part of its ongoing safety program and Liam’s service project came along at an appropriate time,” said Misty Nichols, executive director of the GICIA.
