Walk, run, just have fun during annual Gasparilla Island race

Sign-ups for the Gasparilla Island 4 Mile Run & Fun Walk, which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 7:30 a.m., are taking place now.

The fee for participants 18 and under, pre-registered, is $15. For those 19 and up pre-registered, the cost is $20. On the day of the event registration will be $25 for all ages.

On the day of the race registration is from 6 to 7 a.m. There will be no refund of race entries.

There are two grand prizes, presented by Boca Grande Village Inn  and Anchor Inn, through Parsley-Baldwin Realty.

The first is a three-day/two-night stay for up to four people at the Boca Grande Village Inn, and is valued at $600. Visit Boca Grande Village Inn at parsley-baldwinrealty.com for more information. Lots of door prizes will be given away, but you must be present to win.

Awards will be given to the first, second and third place male and female winners in each age division. Special awards will be given for the male & female overall, master (40+), grandmaster (50+), senior grandmaster (60+) and veteran master (70+) winners.
