Piper was born at 1:16 p.m. At Peace River Regional Hospital in Port Charlotte, weighed 6 lbs 14.9 ozs and measured 21 inches in length.

Welcoming her home are sisters Rowyn, Rory and Eirinn and her brother, Keagan.

Maternal grandparents are Judy (Pete) Kauk of Englewood, Fl. and Bubba (Bonnie) Russell of Rochelle, Ill.

Paternal grandparents are Keith and Jan Shortuse of Port Charlotte. Maternal great-grandmother is Joyce Semmler of Englewood. Marcy Shortuse is the editor of the Boca Beacon
