Donations for troops end May 31

Englewood Bank Branch Manager Alison Henderson has announced that if you bring in a donation for U.S. troop care packages before May 31, you can get a coupon for a free scoop of ice cream at the Loose Caboose, courtesy of Blanche and Jacques Boudreau.

The donation drive is through the Englewood Rotary.

Items they are looking for include beef jerky, coffee (ground or instant), pumpkin seeds, tuna (in foil pouches), protein powders, protein or granola bars, dry soup (such as Ramen or Cup a Soup), cheese and cracker packets, instant oatmeal packets.

They are also looking for travel-sized toiletries such as baby wipes, body wash, liquid soap, shampoo, deodorant, mouth wash and baby or foot powder.
