This is the last call for submissions to name artist Brendan Coudal's original painting, featuring a retro-style fisherman-pirate lady, that symbolizes the 2012 Ladies’ Day Tarpon Tournament.
According to Lew Hastings, executive director of the Boca Grande Area Chamber of Commerce, Brendan has received lots of fun and creative suggestions (and a few naughty ones, too) over the last few weeks, but the deadline is April 30.
This is your chance to join in the fun by e-mailing your suggestions to Brendan directly at brendangallery@comcast.net. Be sure to include your full name, suggested title(s) and your contact information.
The winner will receive the framed, first signed print of the 500 limited edition run, plus a 'mystery' gift bag from the chamber. A portion of the proceeds from this year's poster sales will also go to the Bonefish and Tarpon Trust.
This is the fourth year Brendan has been the featured artist for the historic tournament. The collectible poster, as well as, his previous year's posters are available for purchase through the Boca Grande Area Chamber of Commerce. The original painting, a stunning 36X24" oil on canvas, is also available for sale and can presently be seen in the Chamber office. Please contact the artist directly for inquiries.
