An artist always does their best work when painting what they love. So it is with Wini and water subjects, whether it is a rushing brook, still pond or splashing sea. Wini spent her childhood near the Jersey shore, and now summers on the water at Cranberry Island, Maine. During the winter she lives next to a waterway in Florida.
The artist is constantly studying the movement and effects of light, as well as the color of water in its many different moods. She had three ponds dug at her island home in Maine where pond lilies and iris flourish. Many of her new works are of her “Monet” Ponds. New paintings of Boca Grande include “Boca Sunset,” ‘Picnic on the Beach,” “Sunlit Seagrapes,” and others. Monet’s garden in France is represented with “Wisteria,” and a lovely painting of a garden along the French Riviera.
The gallery is open every day but Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wini Smart will be in the gallery on Saturday, March 17. Come join her for a piece of birthday cake.View More images >>
