Chicago man arrested for marijuana

 

A  Chicago man was arrested on Friday for possession of marijuana, after fire department personnel and sheriff’s deputies got a call of an unresponsive man in a vehicle.

According to sheriff’s reports, just after midnight on January 27 Nathaniel Xavier Ehlert, 28, was found by authorities in a blue BMW at the intersection of East Railroad Avenue and 10th Street. When he was awoken he told them he was just sleeping.

Sheriff’s deputies reported that they found a tube containing a green, leafy substance sitting in the plain sight in the vehicle, as well as a package of rolling papers. Reports state that the substance tested positive as marijuana.

Ehlert was charged with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, and was transported to Lee County Jail. He was released, and given a court date of February 14.
