Romney sweeps Boca Grande primary polls

ca6383c4e533c1ee4b27dab5b26e5790.jpgMitt Romney came out the winner at the Boca Grande polls on Tuesday, Jan. 31 in the presidential primary election. By the end of the day, he had garnered 346 votes at the Boca Grande Community Center polling place.

Newt Gingrich came in second with 72 votes, Rick Santorum had 25 votes, Ron Paul had 11 votes, Jon Huntsman had 3 votes and Rick Perry had one vote.

 

At the American Legion #113 in Rotonda, which is where voters from the Charlotte County portion of the island go to vote, 405 out of 928 registered voters went to the polls. Romney got 187 votes, Gingrich got 152 votes, Santorum got 50 votes, Ron Paul received 15 votes and Jon Huntsman got one vote.

You have until October 9 to make any changes for the presidential election in November.
