Fire Training 1

The Boca Grande Fire Department performed training exercises at 1230 12th St. W. on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday mornings. Each shift practiced company evolutions such as hose work, forcible entry, victim location and recovery, and even practiced working in a smoke-filled room.

The “smoke” was a soap-and-water mixture pumped through a machine, which filled the house with smoke in about one minute.

The house was later demolished.
