Troy- you are the reason Boca Grande's tarpon fishery will collapse. Just another PTTS jigger from Tampa who doesn't know squat. Do us all a favor and stay in Tampa.

Nonsense, your BTT crew made me hold my fish for 20 minutes before taking possession. Not once, but twice. hauled into a sling, and measured, blood sampled and so on. They wanted a big female and in their search to prove what ever, they had total dis regard for the fish or what represents the normal catch and release fishery. Supporting special agendas and a project funded by special interest is not about sound fishery management. Your group has pushed for management of Tarpon by the federal government. Yep, the NMFS who has a record of less than stellar performance unless, you have an agenda to control the resource for the select elite few. “In the summer of 2008, local guides and anglers met with the simple goal of identifying science-based projects, which would preserve our tarpon population and avoid collapses similar to those in Port Aransas, Texas and Homasassa. We decided that funding satellite tags was an effective first step.” Why are you not targeting the collapsed areas. And what science indicates the collapse in Homasassa. Not enough fly caught fish, not enough effort, or just more boats than there used to be because the place is world renowned to catch the giant poon on fly. Please elaborate on what happened in Texas and Homasassa so we can prevent it form happening again. I think we know what happened in Texas and I am not sure your reference to Homasassa is much more than an anecdotal observation.
